Philly officers taken off street after videotaped beating - Yahoo! News
This is typical of many police officers on our street. I guess this type of action will encourage the reduction of recidivism.
In U.S. v. Jannottie, 673 F2d 578, 614 (3rd 1982) it was quoted "There is no more cruel tyranny than that which is exercised under cover of law, and with the colors of justice." Montesquier De L'Espirit Des Lois (1748)
Thomas Jefferson once stated "Experience hath shown, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operation, perverted it into tyranny."
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Louis D. Brandeis once stated "Crime is contagious. If the government becomes the lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for the law."
Finally, Robert M. LaFollette Sr. was an American Political & Reform Leader. In 1925 he stated "...let no man think that we can deny civil liberty to others and retain it for ourselves...."
These police officers and their superiors will find a way to be exonerated of this crime.
