From ancient Egyptian philosophers spoken and written of by Molefi Asante, Jacob Caruthers, Chiek Anta Diop and Psychologist Wade Noble; to ancient Greek thinkers like Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle; to Christian philosophers such as Augustine, Anselm, Aquinas and R.C. Sproul; to the shapers of modern thought such as Hume, Kant, Nietzsche, Illinois Congressman Danny Davis and Dr. Terra Thomas; What are the consequences of each of these thinkers and other important thinkers' ideas on world events, theology, the fine arts and culture? Are we, as a society, still scratching to survive our ideologies? Many of us work, interact and socialize with each other because we have too. There is a small percentage of those who do it because they want too. We draw racial and political boundaries to protect ourselves from being known for who we really are. What is your contribution to this trivia?

The President & CEO of C.L.I.C.K. Services, NFP, Dr. Fred Nance Jr., received his Bachelor and Master degrees from Roosevelt University, Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Nance received his PhD from Walden University. His doctoral studies are in the discipline of Human Services with a focus on Social Policy Analysis and Planning. Dr. Nance has examined and studied social theoretical constructs, conducted research on policy issues, and professional practices in societal development, human development, organization and social systems, and ethics.

A solider suspected of fatally shooting 12 and wounding 31 at Fort Hood in Texas on Thursday is not dead as previously reported, Army Lt. Gen. Robert Cone said Thursday evening.

A civilian officer who was wounded in the incident shot the suspect, who is "in custody and in stable condition," Cone told reporters.

A Washington Times editorial has again used select comments and decisions made by one of President Obama's judicial nominees to smear him as a "radical's radical." In addition to invoking judicial nominee Judge David Hamilton's views on "empathy" -- a favorite conservative attack -- the editorial, which is being highlighted by the Fox Nation, misleadingly suggested that Hamilton believes judges should "effectively amend the Constitution" and that he discriminated against Christianity by banning the word "Jesus" from state legislature prayer, but allowing the word "Allah." Following Rep. Foxx's lead, media conservatives compare health care reform to terrorism
On November 2, Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) said on the House floor regarding health care legislation before the House: "I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country." Following Foxx's statement, Fox News' Glenn Beck compared health care reform to 9-11, and talk radio host Neal Boortz and the Fox Nation promoted Foxx's attack. Read More

Beck witch hunt for socialists, communists, Marxists moves on to SEIU's Stern
Continuing his pattern, Glenn Beck suggested during the November 3 edition of his radio program that SEIU's Andy Stern is a communist, socialist, and Marxist because he said in an interview that "workers of the world unite, it's not just a slogan anymore. It's the way we're going to have to do our work." However, when asked in a separate interview why he uses the slogan, Stern replied that it's "good news" that "communism's dead"; further, numerous conservatives, including Newt Gingrich and John McCain, have approvingly cited quotes or tactics from communist and socialist dictators -- yet those conservatives have seemed to escape Beck's witch hunt. In his Sunday column, Washington Post ombudsman Andrew Alexander addressed what he described as Post media critic Howard Kurtz's "inescapable conflict" of interest "that is at odds with Post rules" -- Kurtz's side job as host of Reliable Sources on CNN, one of the media companies he is assigned to cover for the Post. Misinformation pandemic: Conservative media use H1N1 to oppose health care reform
Since President Obama declared the H1N1 pandemic a national emergency on October 24, conservative media figures have accused the Obama administration of attempting to, in the words of Rush Limbaugh, "create panic and chaos" in order to "sell health care." These charges ignore the prevalence of the disease, which, along with the consequent need to "enable U.S. health care facilities to implement emergency operations plans," were factors Obama specifically cited when he declared the national emergency. BigGovernment baselessly -- and predictably -- accuses progressives of trying to "steal" NJ gubernatorial race
Continuing the conservative media's pattern of baselessly accusing progressives of using illegal means to win elections, Andrew Breitbart's website BigGovernment.com suggested that New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine's re-election campaign and its allies are planning to "rig" or "steal" the upcoming election. BigGovernment.com offered no evidence to support that claim, instead offering allegations including that "state democrats are paying for robo calls supporting Independent Chris Daggett" and citing "the sudden appearance of ACORN on the scene." Wash. Examiner forwards misleading cost-per-job stimulus math
Echoing GOP claims, The Washington Examiner stated: "Even if we take at face value the White House claim that it created or saved [650,000] jobs with approximately $150 billion of the economic stimulus money, a little simple math shows the taxpayers aren't getting any bargains here: $150 billion divided by 650,000 jobs equals $230,000 per job saved or created." However, as the Associated Press noted, this "math is satisfyingly simple but highly misleading," because it does not capture the full impact of the stimulus. Read More

John Fund fabricates evidence of voter fraud in NJ
Appearing on Fox News' Glenn Beck, John Fund claimed that Hispanic voters in Camden, New Jersey, are being told that there is "a new way for you to vote, la nueva forma de votar" -- an anecdote Fund suggested was evidence of voter fraud in the state's 2009 gubernatorial election. In fact -- as Fund himself wrote in a Wall Street Journal column published hours earlier -- that incident actually occurred in Philadelphia in 1993. Read More
