Blagojevich impeached by the Senate

The Illinois Senate has just convicted and impeached Rod Blagojevich. Blagojevich is gone. He did not take the chance of being ushered out of his office. I wish they could have escorted him from his office. The next people the Illinois State legislature should look at is Blagojevich's staff. The Illinois State legislature should take a long look at the Illinois Department of Corrections, specifically Sheridan Correctional Center, and the State contracts issued to that Prison.

My God’s Word says “…Touch not the head of my anointed…” All those who have persecuted me and others, my God will persecute and destroy them. In the words of a Gospel singer, “How great is my God, sing with me; How great is my God, and all will see; How great, How great is our God.”

Blagojevich: How can I be ousted on allegations?

Blagojevich: How can I be ousted on allegations? - Yahoo! News

This guy is crazy. His whole speech was self-centered, agitating and arrogant. He talked about the voters of Illinois, but his actions of the past few days in New York and since the Federal charges has not demonstrated care for the voters of Illinois. We must not forget that the people he surrounded himself with are just as guilty and should be removed from their State positions. There is a lot of arrogance ingrained within Blagojevich's regime. The various departments associated with this Governor employ and terminate nefariously and intentionally. When Pat Quinn takes over today, he should begin his term by investigating the actions of all Blagojevich appointments who have received complaints from the voters of Illinois.

My God’s Word says “…Touch not the head of my anointed…” All those who have persecuted me and others, my God will persecute and destroy them. In the words of a Gospel singer, “How great is my God, sing with me; How great is my God, and all will see; How great, How great is our God.”

Obama seeks GOP help on economy; McConnell hopeful

The top political news headlines from Yahoo! News

President Obama is hopeful that jobs will be created with economic package. I have experienced some events searching for employment that I think should be shared. Chicago's Navy Pier, Salem Baptist Church and Operation Push sponsored job fairs in the last few days. I visited these seminars. There were many vendors who apparently said they were going to be there but did not show up. There were many vendors who did not accept resumes' but issued material to job seekers telling them to go websites. The State of Illinois issued their comprehensive CMS package requesting job seekers fill out the forms for employment. I believe the State of Illinois has a hiring freeze in place at this time. Why would a person who is seeking employment fill out an application for a job they will not receive? People seeking employment during this time in their life do not need employers to create more stress and depression in their lives. They need real opportunity to seek real jobs.

These job fairs can be more productive. The job fairs given at Chicago's Navy Pier, Salem Baptist Church and Operation Push could have been more productive if the advertising had listed jobs available, the employers accepting applications for future employment and online applications to be accessed online. These particular job fairs were held during a very cold time in Illinois. With the inclimate weather, job seekers need to be given a better avenue toward seeking employment. Can we do this a better way guys?

93-year-old froze to death, owed big utility bill

93-year-old froze to death, owed big utility bill - Yahoo! News

I receive NICOR Gas to heat my home. On January 2, 2009 I received a "pink" notice from NICOR Advanced Energy stating "Your NICOR Advanced Energy service will be terminated on or after Tuesday January 20, 2009 because: You owe $293.25 in past due bills. If you do not want your NICOR Advanced Energy supplier service terminated, you must pay $293.25 before Tuesday January 20, 2009."

I called NICOR requesting an explanation for sending me this notice informing them they cannot turn off my service in the winter, and that my bill was not overdue, it was my current bill that is due on December 29, 2008 that I paid on January 2, 2009 before I received this "pink" notice. I informed them that 4 days late does not justify a "final" notice on a heating bill in the winter.

I received a lot of crazy explanations from lower level staff regarding this issue including Dan a supervisor who told me their system looks at days past due. Therefore, I contacted Vice President Paul Delacey who investigated my situation. Mr. Delacey informed me the "pink" notice was generated because I owed $1.13 form a previous bill that was not listed in my current bill for my viewing. Mr. Delacey informed me this would not happen again. I informed Mr. Delacey that they cannot cut someone's gas/heat off during the winter months.

On January 21, 2009 I received a call from Anna of NICOR Advanced Energy stating I was receiving a computer generated call for a past due amount of $669.51, to which the $293.25 was part of this charge. I informed Anna that I paid $293.25 on January 2, 2009. Anna informed me that their system did not list the payment until January 14, 2009, therefore creating the computer generated call. I also informed Anna that the payment for $669.51 was not due until January 29, 2009. I called Mr. Delacey and informed him of the situation. Mr. Delacey investigated the situation and informed me that he would have my account "marked" so that I would not receive calls and notices again about my bill. I told Mr. Delacey that I did not want "special" treatment about my bill, but wanted the general public treated in a fashion where they were not harassed or intimidated by NICOR to pay their bills without an investigation into the matter. I informed Mr. Delacey that NICOR Advanced Energy had some serious computer problems that need attention. I paid the balance of $377.32 on January 25, 2009, which is due on January 29, 2009. Will I receive another "pink" notice? Lets wait and see.

Governor Rod Blagojevich repeatedly abused his powers...

Ill. Senate begins trial as governor hits TV shows - Yahoo! News

As the Illinois Senate assembled for the first impeachment trial of a U.S. governor in more than 20 years, David Ellis, the House-appointed prosecutor, told the chamber that he will show that Blagojevich "repeatedly and utterly abused the powers and privileges of his office."
