Impeachment Trial Begins Today In Springfield: Governor Rod Blagojevich In New York On Media Tour

Impeachment Trial Begins Today In Springfield; Governor Rod Blagojevich In New York On Media Tour - cbs2chicago.com

It must be good to be a Governor of State. As Governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich gets to publicize his case as no other person accused of a criminal offense.

Governor Blagojevich has a lot of nerve. He plans to ask the news media and the voters of Illinois to plea to the Illinois Senate to stop the impeachment processes because he believes the impeachment processes are illegal. Governor Blagojevich has had my clemency appeal on his desk since December of 2006. I was convicted in 1988 by Judge Paul Foxgrover, who was convicted of a felony and removed from the bench 2 years after my conviction. My attorney in the case William Swano was convicted in the Greylord proceedings and disbarred. What happened to me was illegal. I think the news media and the voters of Illinois need to ask Governor Blagojevich who has he helped lately.

It must be nice to be Governor. Why hasn't the "view" asked other like me to tell my story?

Why didn't my lawyers give me the opportunity to tell my story about corruption in Chicago city Government?

The governor will appear on "Good Morning America", "The View", "Larry King Live" and the "CBS Early Show." His lawyers say it's the only thing left to do, rather than participate in the Senate trial. I should be invited to tell my story. Where is the news media now?
