Hello Advisory Committee Members,
We are sad to inform you that Skip Land passed away on Christmas Day. Skip Land worked with us on our 7th Congressional District's Substance Abuse and Treatment Advisory Committee. He helped lead our Treatment on Demand Referendum Drive, where we received 1.3 million votes in Cook County. He was the best, always looking out for the common person and a good friend.
There will be a Memorial Service held for Skip on Friday January 4, 2013 at St. Gertrude Catholic Parish, 1420 W. Granville Avenue, Chicago, IL 60660. Visitation will be at 10 am with mass to follow at 11 am.
A Safe Haven is also organizing a Memorial Service in a few weeks.
