MSNBC and Gun Laws

Dr. Fred... Thursday, Senator Reid announced that a gun reform bill including universal background checks will come to the Senate floor on April 8th. Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews say Congress needs to hear on guns NOW!

Yesterday's email:
Chris Matthews says: If you care about guns, pressure Congress now.
We have critical leverage on gun reform. Call your Senators now!
Dr. Fred,
Wednesday night on MSNBC, Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews said the public should call Congress right now if we care about passing strong gun laws.
(Can you please call Senators Dick Durbin and Mark Kirk? Click here.)
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is deciding right now what to put in a gun bill. Rachel Maddow made this key point Wednesday night:

"If you were looking for a moment of leverage with your member of the Senate on this issue, this is probably the moment of leverage. While they're making the decision about how to move these things and in what order and piece by piece, this is the time when people hearing from their constituents makes all the difference."

Our action is needed now if we care about this issue.

Over 120,000 Americans have joined our campaign for strong gun laws -- including over 20,000 gun owners. You can join them here.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
