Mother's Day

Friends — It was nearly five months ago, on December 14, that a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary took the lives of 20 children and 6 educators. In the aftermath, members of the Newtown community gathered in a kitchen to mourn and find comfort from one another. It was there that the Sandy Hook Promise was born. Part of the promise reads: "I Promise to honor the 26 lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School." One way to honor our commitment this Mother's Day is by letting the Moms of victims of gun violence – in Newtown and beyond – know that we're thinking of them. We've put together a Mother's Day card to let them know that we support and grieve with them, and we promise to fight to prevent tragedies like this from ever happening again. Will you add your name?
