Mother's Day

The National Memo
Sandy Hook Promise

For all the Moms: Please sign our Mother's Day Card Friends —
It was nearly five months ago, on December 14, that a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary took the lives of 20 children and 6 educators.
In the aftermath, members of the Newtown community gathered in a kitchen to mourn and find comfort from one another. It was there that the Sandy Hook Promise was born.
Part of the promise reads: "I Promise to honor the 26 lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School."
One way to honor our commitment this Mother's Day is by letting the Moms of victims of gun violence – in Newtown and beyond – know that we're thinking of them. We've put together a Mother's Day card to let them know that we support and grieve with them, and we promise to fight to prevent tragedies like this from ever happening again. Will you add your name?
Click below to tell all the Moms whose children have been taken by gun violence that their loved ones are remembered. Let them know they're not alone and we stand with them.
We don't want Newtown to be remembered as a town filled with grief and victims, but as the place where change began – where we began to take steps to stop gun violence and prevent tragedies.
We want it to be defined not by tragedy, but by its response to tragedy and the way it supported and loved those whose hearts were broken.
Will you help us do that?
Add your name to our card to let Moms who have lost children and loved ones to gun violence know we're thinking of them and we support them.
Thank you for your support,
