She had a genuinely refreshing interview with Senator Sherrod Brown about his support for expanding Social Security benefits.
Brown announced this bold position to PCCC members in an email this week, which was then reported on by the Washington Post and others.
But some Democrats, like Sen. Mark Warner, missed the memo that our side can win if we have backbone. Warner throws up his hands and says, "Democrats are going to have to give on entitlement reform." That's weak.
Over the past few months, the campaign to expand Social Security has reshaped the debate around this issue -- from expansion being an idea that was rarely talked about to becoming a credible policy option talked about in primetime.
