| | | | | Happy New Year! Fred 2014, in the Chicagoland, has started with a big snowfall and big chill. Yesterday it was -14 degrees in Chicago and Flossmoor Illinois with a wind chill of -40 degrees. With these conditions no one is knocking on doors. Outdoor activities for political campaigns are at a stand still. Hence, we decided to reach out to you and ask if you would help us raise funds in order to conduct a successful campaign once we've thawed out? As we said in our last email progressives are now on the verge of controlling what we do by nullifying our freedom of religion and speech by advocating for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act known as ENDA. This federal legislation offers special protection for those with actual or perceived gender identity issues and sexual orientation. "The term gender identity means the gender-related identity, appearance, or mannerisms or other gender-related characteristics of an individual, with or without regard to the individual's designated sex at birth." The Heritage Foundation warns that this "law creates special protection for those who are transgendered individuals—Men who dress and act like women, and females who dress and act as males—and forbids employers from considering the consequences of such behavior at the work place."

However, we know it is only a matter of time before a lawsuit will challenge these exemptions. Homosexual activist are already clamoring to remove such exemptions from the Bill. ENDA does not protect Christian owned businesses such as Chick-fil-A, Hobby Lobby and other Christian entrepreneurs who want to run their businesses according to their faith. We need to make sure this bill does not pass the House and become law. The 2nd congressional district of Illinois needs a U.S. Representative who shares your biblical values.
