Take a look at this list of news stories about Governor Blagojevich and his regime. It is litte to wonder about the Sheridan Project. I think there is corruption in the Sheridan Project. There needs to be an independent investigation.
For example, I guess Governor Blagojevich wants us to believe he is not protecting the Sheridan Project from his budget cuts. While every other social service entity is suffering a 50% or more budget cut, the Governor's Sheridan Project at Sheridan Correctional Center has a reported 10% budget cut. I guess 10% of nearly $4M is okay to streamline his budget. What does the public think? What do the social service agency who have to close their doors think? What about the crime that will permeate our communities from these budget cuts? The criminals will have no where to go. Recidivism will not be reduced. But isn't that what the Sheridan Project is all about?
